Help: Holt McDougal Online (Students)

Welcome to your personalized Holt McDougal Online Home Page. It has two main columns organized by the kind of work you’ll do:

      Left Column—Links to go.hrw.com.

Middle Column—Your access to Online Programs, Relating Links, Assignments, and Progress Reports.

You’ll also note that in the top right area of the screen, you’ll be able to easily Log Out. You should make it a practice to Log Out each time you leave the computer so that other students will not be able to accidentally view your Progress Reports.

You’ve already discovered this Help section by clicking the Help link.

Left Column Links

You can easily access any of the resources listed by clicking them.

Middle Column: General Information

Each of the programs that your teacher registers you in will appear in the center column. In some cases you may also have two different Usernames and Passwords to access different programs. This will depend on how your teacher registered you in her/his class.

Online Edition Link—Generally, you will see an Image and Title of your program. To access your Online Edition, click Online Edition. If your program consists of special modules, you will be able to access each of the modules that make up your program by clicking their names.

Other Relating Links—In some cases, you will be able to click additional content links if they are part of your program. Your teacher will guide you as you learn to access relating links.

View Assignments Link—Click View Assignments to see a list of your current assignments as well as other information about your assignments. In some cases, you’ll be working directly with online tests or activities. To start on assignment or test, click Begin Test/Assignment. In other cases, your teacher may make a general assignment that will be self-explanatory; just follow the instructions that the teacher has written for you.

View Progress Report Link—Click View Progress Report to gain access to your Test, Assignment, or Practice Scores. In some cases, you may even be able to see how you did on each item of an online test or activity (those activities will appear as underlined links). Be sure to share your Progress Reports with your parents by clicking this same link.

Keyword Search Box Link—If you see a Keyword Search box in the middle column of this page, it means that you can search for resources associated with the Learn It Online codes from your 2010 Holt Literature and Language Arts Student and Teacher's Editions. Type a Learn It Online code and click Search to get started. This option is not available for users created under preview, private individual, Non-US Teacher and for Steck-Vaughn Application.
