When you make an assignment (click Assign or Assign Again) the assignment settings appear in a new window. You can choose Always Available or select beginning and ending dates for the assignment. Change the optional test settings to override your test preferences.
You can:
Assign by student: Assign to one or more individual students in the selected class.
Test-taking and reporting: Specify how many times students may take the test, whether to randomize the order of test questions, how many times students may score the test, and how to record the score for the assignment.
Note: These options are not available for Intervention assignments.
Viewing results: Specify whether to allow students to see their test scores for this test, to see the test after it is scored, to see their scores immediately after scoring, and when students can see the correct answers for missed items.
Note: This option is not available for Intervention assignments.
Intervention settings: Displays your default Intervention Preferences.
Note: This only appears on Intervention assignments. Modify your Intervention Preferences in Preferences.
Add a note: Add reminders, special instructions, or other information for your students to see when they take the test.
To make an assignment for individual students:
In the Assign by Student window, select individual student names, or All Students.
Click the Calendar icon and select the due date.
Click Submit.
To modify the Test-Taking and Reporting settings:
In the Test-Taking and Reporting window, choose:
How many times students can access this test.
Whether to randomize the order of the questions on the test.
The number times students will be allowed to score the test.
Which attempt will be scored: First Try Only (the default), Average, Most Recent Try, or Highest Score.
Click Submit.
To modify the Viewing Results settings:
In the Viewing Results window, choose:
Whether to allow students to see their scores for this test.
Whether to allow students to view the test after taking it.
When students may see the correct answers for missed items.
Click Submit.
To add a note to students taking this test:
In the Add a Note window:
Type your note in the text area.
Click Submit.
